Guest speaker will be accomplished businessman Gene Thompson.   APPEAL FOR TCI DONATIONS CONTINUES ANOTHER WEEK The Community Services Department thanks members who responded to the appeal for contributions to the TCI shipment.  The shipment is scheduled to go next week, but there is still space for clothing, linen, and non-perishable food items.  Notably, the list is being expanded to furniture.  The department is also asking that a little extra care is taken to ensure that clothing and linen be freshly washed and in good usable condition. Please take all gifts to the canteen at Cayman Academy. In addition, funds may continue to be deposited at the Royal Bank of Canada, to ADRA account number 500-6234, or dropped off at the Conference Office, 209 Walkers Road.   PREPARE FOR 2018 BIBLE CONNECTION Adventurers, Pathfinders and Senior Youth (ages 16 – 35) are encouraged to start studying for 2018 Bible Connection initiative. The following are the assignments in the various categories: Adventurers – The Gospel of Mark Pathfinders – The Gospel of Matthew Senior Youth – The Gospels of Matthew and Mark, and The Desire of Ages, chapters 72 – 87. Friday’s service begins at 7 pm.  Don’t miss this final chance to prepare for the blessings that God has in store for His faithful servants.   THE 27TH ANNUAL 10K WALK/RUN THIS SUNDAY The 27th Annual 10K Walk/Run will take place this Sunday, Nov. 26.  Pastor Franklin Grant, who introduced the 10K event, will be in attendance. Registration: Late registration is available this Saturday night at the Conference Office from 6 pm to 9 pm. Organisers are appealing to all regular volunteers to report to the Conference Office this Saturday night at 7 pm for instructions. Matthew 6:31-33 ESV   DOCUMENTARY ON MENTAL HEALTH AT GT CHURCH This Sabbath (Nov. 18) at 5 pm a special one-hour documentary on mental health will be shown at the George Town Church. The documentary features information on causes, treatment, and prevalence of mental illness.  It will also seek to inform about the role of the recently formed Mental Health Commission chaired by Dr. Marc Lockhart, a local mental health specialist. The Fun Day is followed by a special youth service on Monday evening at 6:30 pm at the Savannah Church.   MONDAY EVENING’S YOUTH SERVICE Monday evening’s Youth Service at the Savannah Church is poised to attract an immense audience, with youth from across the length and breadth of the Conference in attendance, along with their specially invited friends and families.
