SALUTATIONS “Above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8, NKJV).   EBENEZER EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN BEGINS 23 APRIL April 23 is the date for the start of the Ebenezer Church’s “Let God Arise” campaign with Evangelist Dexter Dennis.  Services are on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7:30 pm, and on Sabbaths at 9:15 am and 4 pm for a period of three weeks.  Ebenezer worships at the John Gray High School Hall.   MARANATHA BLESSED HOPE CAMPAIGN CONTINUES The Maranatha Church’s “Blessed Hope” Evangelistic Campaign continues for another two weeks, at 7:15 pm week nights (except Thursdays) and on Sabbaths at 9:30 am. The campaign concludes on Sabbath, April 29.   ATTEND JOINT SERVICE FEATURING THE CONTAGIOUS ADVENTIST SEMINAR The “Contagious Adventist” seminar that begins Sabbath, April 22, at 4:30 pm, at Kings Church, is a joint programme for all churches. The seminar is open to all women, men, and youth and continues at 7:30 pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (April 24th to 26th).  The presenter is Sister Esther Knott, Associate Ministerial Director for the North American Division. For information and to register, call 640-2647, or contact your church’s Women’s Ministries leader.   FOOD HANDLERS COURSE BEGINS ON APRIL 24 If you are interested in ensuring best practices in food preparation, whether in your own home cooking or for commercial purposes, attend a two-part Food Handlers Training course on Monday, April 24, and on May 1.  The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is conducting the course and participants who successfully complete both sessions will receive DEH certification as food handlers.   The two-part course, which has been sponsored by the Community Services Department, will be held at Cayman Academy at 5:30 pm on the designated days. For further information, contact Assistant Director of Community Services at 926-7234. A nominal fee applies.   CHILD MONTH PROGRAMME LAUNCHES MAY 6 Child Month will be officially launched at the May 6 Child Preachers’ graduation at the Savannah Church. A highlight of the month’s programme is Child Evangelism Week, May 7 – 13, when services take place at 7:30 pm Sunday to Friday and on Sabbath, May 13, at 9:15 am at the following venues: Zone 1, West Bay, at John A. Cumber Hall: West Bay, Berea and Bethel churches. Zone 2, George Town Church: Kings, Maranatha, Ephesus, Ebenezer, Filadelfia, Bethany. Zone 3, Savannah Church Zone 4, Bodden Town Church: Bodden Town, East End, North Side. The tournament begins at 10 am. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9   YOUTH WEEK OF PRAYER CONCLUDES THIS SABBATH Enjoy nature as you prayerfully close the Youth Week of Prayer this Friday evening (March 17) at 7:30 pm at the Bodden Town Public Beach. All youth are invited to this joint youth prayer meeting.   GLOBAL YOUTH DAY STAGED AT HARRY MCCOY PARK All roads lead our youth to the Harry McCoy Park, off Cumber Avenue, in Bodden Town this Sabbath (March 18), starting with devotion at 9:30 am, led by Youth Elder Osmond Lynch. Youth will be transported to impact zones throughout the Bodden Town district, demonstrating acts of kindness and participating in a Prayer Walk. Everyone will re-assemble at the Harry McCoy Park for lunch. The afternoon’s opening ceremony begins at 3 pm with a community march led by the Gideon Pathfinder Drum Corps. The programme continues with musical items, Blood Bank registration, health screening, and messages from various youth and community leaders. Global Youth Day concludes with a special praise concert featuring many of our talented singers.   GYD PARKING DIRECTIONS Parking for Global Youth Day is available behind the Mission House, which is part of the Harry McCoy Park.  To access parking travelling from the Bodden Town Police Station, take the Bodden Town Bypass and go past Lookout Road on the right. Take the first left onto a dirt road, which ends at the parking lot behind the Mission House. March Route For the march in the afternoon, all participants are asked to assemble at the Police Station at 2 pm, for a march onto the Bodden Town Bypass and back to the Harry McCoy Park.     BEREA’S 4TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS Featuring the Festival of Choirs The Berea Church invites you to its 4th anniversary celebrations featuring the Festival of Choirs on Sabbath, March 25, starting 4:00pm, at the John A. Isaiah 41:10   YOUTH WEEK OF PRAYER BEGINS THIS SABBATH CHURCHES HOST JOINT YOUTH SERVICES Youth will be shuttled to host churches during the Youth Week of Prayer that begins this Sabbath (March 11) and continues through to Friday (March 17). These services will in effect become joint youth services, beginning this Sabbath (March 11) at the North Side Church at 4:30 pm. The schedule and host church locations for the week night 7:30 pm services are: Sunday, March 12, Savannah; Monday, George Town; Tuesday, Filadelfia; Wednesday, West Bay Church, street meeting at church site; Thursday, Ephesus; and Friday, Bodden Town, street meeting at the Public Beach. Please contact your church’s youth leader for shuttle arrangements from each church to host church locations.   GLOBAL YOUTH DAY STAGED AT BODDEN TOWN’S HARRY MCCOY PARK Global Youth Day this year will see all youth assembled at the Harry McCoy Park (off Gun Square Road) on Sabbath, March 18, at 9:30 am, for devotion and instructions.  From there, youth will be transported by buses to impact zones throughout the Bodden Town district for various visitation activities and food bag distribution, until 12:30 pm. SALUTATIONS Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12   21 DAYS OF PRAYER CONCLUDES THIS SABBATH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY OF PRAYER All churches are scheduled to be engaged at their various locations in the final day’s activities of the 21-day initiative, this Sabbath (March 4). This final day of the 21 Days of Prayer coincides with International Women’s Day of Prayer being observed in all Adventist churches globally.  This International Day of Prayer is a special day for women to strengthen their spiritual bonds as they pray for and with each other. In past years this special day has been celebrated in a variety of ways, including prayer breakfasts, fasting and prayer initiatives, consecration services, women’s delivery of the sermons for church services, and other special activities.   KINGS CHURCH CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER Do you have a problem only God can solve? Come out this Sabbath (March 4) and join the congregation at Kings Church as we seek God in a Prayer and Claim your Victory Service.  The victory will be yours through passionate prayers and fearless faith. Following that in the afternoon, we take prayer to the Windsor Park community at 4:30 pm with a lively Prayer Power in the Park worship session in the park under the theme Repent, Refresh and Replenish.  There will be seating for all and refreshments will be served. Don’t miss your break through. A special tree-planting dedication ceremony will commemorate this event. Note that this is NOT a joint service.   CHILD PREACHERS’ TRAINING BEGINS The 2017 Child Preachers’ programme launches this Sabbath afternoon (March 4), initiating eight weeks of training.  The once weekly 3:30 pm Sabbath afternoon training sessions take place at the Savannah Church. For further information, contact your church’s Children’s Ministries Leaders.   YOUTH MINISTRIES DEPARTMENT WEEK OF PRAYER This year’s Youth Week of Prayer, from next Sabbath, March 11, to Friday, March 17, is being observed in churches throughout Grand Cayman as a prelude to Global Youth Day on Sabbath, March 18. During the week of prayer period services will take place at the various churches on Grand Cayman, beginning the afternoon of Sabbath, 11 March, at 4:00 pm. In the ensuring week, services take place at the various church locations from Sunday to Friday, 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.   GLOBAL YOUTH DAY ARRANGEMENTS This year’s local theme of Global Youth Day, on Sabbath, March 18, is Impact Bodden Town. Before dispersing for the customary community visitation activities on Sabbath morning on Global Youth Day, all youth will assemble at 9 am at a yet-to-be confirmed Bodden Town location for a brief devotional. Following that, youth will disperse throughout the Bodden Town district, dispensing acts of kindness and sharing their faith from 10 am to 12:30 am. Following that exercise, they will re-assemble for lunch. The afternoon programme starts at 4 pm.
