Pastor Shian W. O’Connor joined the Cayman Islands Conference in July of 2000. He was appointed Pastor for the Kings and West Bay Seventh-day Adventist Churches. He served the West Bay congregation for seven years and the Kings congregation for twelve. He also served the Maranatha and Ebenezer Churches for two years.

Pastor O’Connor served the Cayman Islands Conference as Departmental Director in the areas of Personal Ministries, Education, Family Life Ministries, Men’s Ministries, and Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, before he was elected President in January 2012.

Pastor Reinaldo Dracket, B.Th., MA, was born in Port Limon, Costa Rica, and is married to Nelda Rose (née Carey) from the Bahamas. God has blessed their 32-year union with three children, Deandro, Demiko and Denisha, now young-adults, and a grandson, Devonte.

Pastor Dracket is a third generation Seventh-day Adventist and has given 33 years of service to the gospel ministry in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.    He served his native country as pastor and departmental director for six years before joining the ministerial forces in the Cayman Islands Conference in 1988.

The Cayman Islands has remained his home for the past 28 years, where he has been serving his church as pastor, departmental director and Conference Executive Secretary.

Bilingual, he is a graduate of West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University), and Andrews University.

Pastor Dracket loves people and enjoys being around people of all ages.   One of his philosophies is to “give flowers when people can enjoy them, not when they are gone.”

Elder John Emery Wesley is the first son of missionary parents (now deceased), Pearldene I. Wesley (Jeffers), who was originally from East End, Grand Cayman, and Pastor James P. Wesley, from Manchester, Jamaica.

Elder Wesley, who is married to Dr. Tempora Minaya-Wesley, a native of Dominica Republic, is father to three children, Timothy Wesley, Giovanni Wesley, and John Emery Wesley, Jr. He has one daughter-in-law, Xochil, married to Giovanni.

Elder Wesley earned a bachelor´s degree in accounts and an MBA from the International College of the Cayman Islands. He also holds an LLB (Hons) from the Cayman Islands Law School, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in law from the University of Liverpool.

His 23 years´service in the Cayman Islands includes 17 years in the Ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His various roles have included auditor, chief accountant, assistant director of communications, secretary/treasurer of Adventists Layman Services and Industries (ASI), treasurer for the George Town Church, and stewardship director of the Cayman Islands Conference.

In addition to his current role as treasurer of the Cayman Islands Conference, Elder Wesley has worked at Coopers & Lybrand  (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers), Truman Bodden & Company (now Higgins & Johnson), Cayman Islands High School (now John Gray High School) and Innovative Management and Professional Training.

Elder Wesley is passionate about preaching about Daniel and Revelation and has conducted many seminars in Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, Massachusetts, South Carolina, California, and the Dominica Republic.
